Cut down your travel time to the Samana Peninsula significantly

The quickest method of transportation for travelers hoping to visit to get to the Dominican Republic's Samana Peninsula is by way of ferry.

A small ferry, simply named “El Bote” provides transport across Samana Bay on a daily basis, providing passage from Sabana de la Mar to Samana .  The trip takes an hour, which is a a short time in comparison to the eight to 10 hour trip by bus from Santo Domingo.

El Bote leaves Sabana de la Mar at regular intervals: 8:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m.  Return trips leave at 7:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 3:00 p.m.
