Most buses only travel to the country's larger cities, so you will need to find another method of transportation if you want to go anywhere else.

Metro Buses are the higher end of the bus line choices and offer their passengers complimentary cookies and coffee. Caribe is another line of buses that gives their passengers a little something extra during their trip. Service from Santo Domingo to La Roma is provided by Express Bus and leaves every hour on the hour from 5:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m. Vacationers can not make reservations for these buses, as the bus line has no office or telephone. A ticket-taker will accept your ticket, which costs $3(USD), right before boarding the bus.
